ICO Learn Arabic - Elementary

ICO Learn Arabic - Middle & High

The Sixth book of the Learn Arabic series consists of 6 sections, which can be divided into 3 sections for the first half of the school year and 3 sections for the second half.
Each section contains 4 units, with the fourth unit focusing on review. Each unit includes 3 lessons, except for the 6 review units, which include 2 lessons each. The book therefore contains a total of 24 educational units (18 regular units and 6 review units) and a total of 66 lessons. Each unit of the textbook focuses on a narrative text, story, or dialogue. It is the core on which all of the unit’s activities are based. The unit is divided into 3 lessons over 6 pages.
The first lesson presents the text, story, and dialogue on the first page, and comprehension and new vocabulary on the second page. The second lesson presents understanding the text and vocabulary on the third page, and structure, grammar, communication, and verbal expression on the fourth page. The third lesson has listening, communication, and verbal expression on the fifth page, and some Quran or a hadith on the sixth page.
Review units are made up of 2 lessons over 4 pages; the first lesson talks about the subject itself and grammar, and the second lesson talks about searching in the dictionary and using vocabulary, and has a section on critical thinking and a section for entertainment.
The textbook concentrates on verbal skills: speaking, pronouncing, using correct grammatical structures, listening comprehension, verbal expression, recitation, and memorization. Then, students can use the workbook to continue practicing skills, reading stories, practicing comprehension, practicing handwriting, practicing dictation, and practicing writing.
The textbook for the sixth level presents over 40 grammatical structures, an average of 2 structures per unit. A complete list of vocabulary is included at the back of the book. Each vocabulary word included in the book is translated into English. Each entry includes the unit number where the word was first mentioned for easy reference. The material in the textbook is related to the workbook material. The workbook includes 24 units and 28 lessons. Each lesson should be presented in one 45-minute class, meaning that the workbook should take 48 lessons to teach, and the textbook should take 66 classes to teach. The two books together therefore require about 114 classes to teach.
